Architecture decisions: review, approval and history

ArchiLU keeps the request, the options considered and the document version submitted for a decision. The authorised body decides within its mandate. Teams can find the choice, its rationale and its consequences for the affected architecture elements. They reuse that information when preparing a change or reviewing the next request.

  • The decision log records the body, decision maker, date, outcome and rationale.
  • A recorded decision can be superseded or withdrawn. The log retains the original decision and the action that follows it.
  • Requests awaiting action, outstanding questions and documents under revision form the basis of a governance review.
The Board chooses a shared customer record to avoid duplication. Its reasoning, the submitted version and the approval trail are preserved.
Adoption history in ArchiLU: the Board approves a shared customer record and explains why credit and compliance checks remain separate.
